Question 1 of 9

What are you actually training for?

Pick the one that annoys you most right now.

What is your current 5k?

Every pace in your plan comes off this number, so a recent honest one beats a good one from 2023.

Enter a 5k time between 12 and 60 minutes, or tick the box above.

How many days a week can you train in total?

Running and lifting combined, not one or the other. Count days you will actually turn up, not days you are theoretically free.

Can you train twice in a day?

A separate lift and run on the same day, for example one in the morning and one in the evening. On fewer days this is the difference between a full plan and a compromise.

What can you lift with?

How long have you been lifting?

How much are you running now?

This sets your starting volume. Jumping straight to peak mileage is how people get injured in week two.

How many days a week do you lift now?

If a plan cuts your gym days in half you will not stick to it, whatever the physiology says. This tells me how far I can move you.

A bit about you

Age affects how much hard running sits in a week. Weight and sex are used for the nutrition side, not the training. This builder is for over 18s only.

Enter an age between 18 and 90.

Before you train

Answer every question.
